Assistant engineer, Mistral team

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

In the Mistral team I participate in creating knowledge on the ecology of microorganisms, and in understanding the epidemiology of diseases they cause in order to design innovative means to manage plant health.
My specialty is to develop early detection tools for pathogens studied in our labs, in order to be able to use them in field activities. The molecular detection tool LAMP (Loop mediated isothermal AMPlification) is the one I have been studying for more than 6 years. The challenge today is to adapt this method to different pathogen models and different hosts. The target of the detection being localized on the DNA, it confers excellent specificity and sensitivity of to the detection methods.

My contributions in projects since 2018 (development of detection by LAMP):
  • GARLIC project: Development of tools for the early detection of agents responsible for Fusarium head blight in garlic seed lots, evaluation of sanitation methods and technical itineraries to improve the sanitary status of certified plants with respect to Fusarium head blight. CASDAR project / 2022 - 2024
  • CLAVINNOV project: Improvement of detection and reasoned protection against bacterial canker of tomato caused by Clavibacter michiganensis michiganensis FEADER project / 2018 - 2022
  • CHABABRI project: Identification and prioritization of biotic risk factors "bacterial canker" of the species complex Pseudomonas syringae in apricot orchards. CASDAR project / 2018 - 2021
