RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

I'm a biological technician in the Virology team. My main missions are the implementation of biology, serology and molecular biology techniques for the characterization and study of viruses in vegetable crops. This makes it possible to develop methods of protecting plants against pathogens for efficient and sustainable agronomic production. These activities are part of various epidemiology and molecular characterization research projects to understand and improve the sustainability of plant virus control methods..

My permanent missions focus on i) the role of aphid vectors in viral epidemics requiring the setting up and carrying out of field experiments (epidemiological monitoring) and under controlled conditions (viral transmission by aphids) and ii) on epidemiology, etiology, as well as resistance mechanisms and their durability for several viral models (WMV, ZYMV, CABYV, CVYV, tenuivirus, begomovirus), in the field, in greenhouses, and in the laboratory.
