RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

In the Plant Pathology unit since September 2022, I am a PhD student working ondeciphering the modes of action of microbial biocontrol agents against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in oilseed rape. The specific aims of my thesis are (1) to better characterize the modes of action of two candidate microorganisms against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in oilseed rape and (2) to evaluate the effect of biotic and abiotic factors on the development of these modes of action.

Experiments carried out in vitro and on plants under controlled conditions, and the use of various “omics” tools (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics), allow me to collect data that will be useful for the preparation of the future registration dossier needed to obtain marketing authorization for those micro-organisms. They will also help me to understand them better so that we can use them more effectively in the field.
