Digital support for the development of biocontrol in crop protection strategies

  • The Bioc'App project aims to identify the factors of success of augmentative biocontrol, share knowledge on the subject, and facilitate the use of biocontrol by producers. It follows the BIOAD thesis (Pressecq, 2023) and is part of the Biocontrol network of APREL. As part of this, the DECICONTROL application, a digital tool based on the expertise of advisors, producers, and experimenters, was launched in a testing phase. This application includes both a system for collecting field observations and a section for disseminating knowledge and observations. The project consists of four main actions: (1) the development of a database compiling all the field observations, (2) the integration of complementary field activities to acquire references on biocontrol and the strategies being implemented, (3) the management, validation, and analysis of the collected data, and (4) the communication of results, with the aim of enhancing the integration of biocontrol into crop protection strategies.
